Medford, Ore. — In the wake of the Belgian attacks, the TSA is deploying additional security to airports across the US, though it’s unclear if the Rogue Valley International – Medford Airport is among them.
We spoke with officials at the Medford airport who say they can’t release any changes to their security measures due to safety, but officials with the TSA say they are working with agencies across the country to increase the safety and security of all airports.
US Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson says the TSA and US Customs and Border Protection have procedures in place to identify and prevent travel here from Belgium if necessary.
