U.S. COVID-19 deaths now over 100,000

(NBC) More than 100,000 people have now died in the United States due to COVID-19.

The coronavirus has killed Americans in every state as well as Puerto Rico, Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts have seen the most deaths.

The total number of cases in the U.S. is now over 1.6 million.

There have been more than 300,000 confirmed deaths worldwide, and more than 5 million confirmed cases.
