Man suspected in Klamath Falls murder arrested

REYESCougar, Washington — A man wanted in connection with a Klamath Falls murder is in police custody tonight. KGW in Portland is reporting that Matthew Reyes was arrested by Cowlitz County Sheriff deputies on Sunday.

Authorities say he broke into a house, assaulted the woman inside, and stole her car. Deputies spotted the car a short time later, and they say a pursuit ensued. Deputies used a maneuver to stop the vehicle, and took Reyes into custody, along with a woman, Kareesa Dean, 31.

Police believe Reyes killed 57 year old Rick Aston in a room at the River Park Inn in Klamath Falls.  Aston’s body was found on the third of this month with his neck cut.
