Jackson County, Ore. — Police and emergency crews responded to a report of a vehicle in the water near the 4700 block of Brownsboro-Eagle Point Highway, east of Eagle Point.
The call came in around 4:45 Tuesday evening. Crews were able to eventually locate the vehicle halfway submerged in Little Butte Creek.
According to Jackson County Fire District 3, the driver of the vehicle was successfully rescued along with her companion dog. The woman was taken to the hospital but appears to be okay.
Police say the woman is “very fortunate” that the car stayed upright and stationary.
The vehicle will be removed from the creek on Wednesday.
