Medford, Ore. — A known gang member is back behind bars after authorities say he took off from a youth correctional facility in Junction City.
The Jackson county sheriffs office and the U.S. Marshals arrested Juan Antonio Gonzalez-Marquez in Medford during a traffic stop yesterday.
Gonzalez-Marquez is a documented Norteno gang member; he has previous arrests for assault, resisting arrest, and probation violations. Gonzalez-Marquez was originally sentenced as a juvenile for his involvement in the 2009 stabbing death of Marco Diaz.
Hes now in the Jackson county jail on warrants and possession of methamphetamine.
