Kerby, Ore. — A Kerby man has been found guilty of shooting and killing his neighbor.
A Josephine county jury deliberated briefly before finding 65 year old Donald Easley guilty of murdering Laron Estes in September of last year.
Authorities say the two men were neighbors and had a history of disputes. Easley had previously been accused of murdering a different neighbor at the redwood highway address in 2009 but it was ruled to be self-defense.
Easley faces a minimum mandatory sentence of 25 years in prison; a sentencing date has not been set.
