University of Oregon sued by ex-counseling center workers

UOEugene, ore. — The University of Oregon is facing another lawsuit related to a 2014 gang rape allegation.

Two former U of O employees are suing the university and six individuals claiming retaliation for whistleblowing, according to the lawsuit.

Both employees, Karen Stokes and Jennifer Morlok, worked at the counselling center when a student known publically as Jane Doe accused three basketball players of rape.

In the lawsuit, Stokes says she was asked to make a copy of the student’s medical file and give it to the UO General Council.

Stokes and Morlok brought their concerns of releasing the file to UO administrators but say those issues were not addressed. The university denies the allegations.
