KALGOORLIE, Australia (NBC) – You can call it the find of a lifetime.
An experienced hobbyist, who doesn’t want to be identified, found a three-pound nugget of gold in Australia.
The person used a metal detector to unearth the nugget.
The nugget was about a foot and a half below the surface.
It’s worth about $65,000.
The person took the nugget to a rock shop where the owner took pictures.
