The News-Review reports that Melissa Wilkerson was at Abby’s Legendary Pizza on Saturday when she started climbing into the prize chute of the ACME Crane Company game, which uses a claw to win prizes. By the time her parents reached her, she was already inside.
Firefighters got her out in about 30 minutes, after removing some of the top of the game. Melissa, who has autism, escaped unharmed.
The machine has been temporarily repaired to avoid another incident, and new machine is replacing the current game in less than two weeks.
