911 calls detail fatal North Carolina shooting

NC_watchshooting0808_1500x845Raleigh, N.C. (WRAL) — A North Carolina man has been arrested for the Sunday murder of a 20-year-old and will appear in court Monday.

Early Sunday morning, police found the victim Kouren-Rodney Bernard Thomas with a gunshot wound.

Police arrested 39-year-old Chad Cameron Copley, who reportedly fired a shotgun from inside his garage, striking Thomas. Copley claims he shot as a member of the neighborhood watch in an effort to protect people.

The victim’s friends and family are saying Thomas was shot for no reason.
