Shady Cove, Ore., — A park in Shady Cove is without it’s most popular picnic spot tonight.
A giant tree that shaded the park fell last night, smashing into a near-by home.
A woman was inside with her two dogs, and some people in the area helped her out.
“She got super lucky, this tree its a heavy tree it could have easily just smashed the house to the ground, but it didn’t.” said Mike Bartlett with Bartlett Tree Service.
Crews working on the tree say the roots are completely rotten.
They’ll be working to get rid of the tree through tomorrow.
The house is so damaged, it may have to be torn down.
