Ashland, Or — Jackson County Search rescue teams along with dozens of volunteers are searching for a well know runner above Lithia Park tonight.

Search and rescue teams are searching for 46 year old Todd Ragsdale of Talent.

Ragsdale went missing after leaving Thursday morning on a short hike. When he didn’t return by the time he said he would search and rescue crews began looking for him.

Teams of dogs, Jackson County Search and Rescue crews, Ashland Police and dozens of volunteers combed the steep terrain above Lithia Park looking for Ragsdale.

Sherrif’s deputies say Ragsdale knew the area well but was only wearing shorts and a light jacket at the time.

“He’s a long distance runner, had a recent injury so he’s just out for a light hike today on local trails and we have not been able to find him,” said Sgt. Shawn Richards.

Search and rescue crews were searching near the top of Lithia park and the Ashland watershed near the end of Granite Street.

Currently there isn’t any need for more volunteer but if you have seen Ragsdale or perhaps had given him a ride, please contact police.
