Airbnb extends cancellation policy

(NBC) – Airbnb is extending its cancellation policy.

People who booked stays before March 14th, with check-in through May 31st, are eligible for a full refund.

Airbnb is also pledging $250 million to help support hosts who have had reservations canceled, paying them 25% of what they would have made on the reservation.

The move comes after some hosts were upset Airbnb was overriding their cancellation preferences and wasn’t offering them any compensation.
