The Josephine County Public Health Department said the bat was found off of North East Wharton Drive in Grants Pass earlier this month.
The first rabies case of the year was confirmed back in April.
Josephine County averages 1 to 2 bats testing positive for rabies per year, with about 9 for Oregon.
The department is reminding people to stay away from bats, and make sure your pets have the proper rabies vaccines.
