Second annual Race 4 Kyron

0707 Race 4 KyronUpdate (07/08 1:00 p.m.) — The second annual Race 4 Kyron has been postponed due to wet weather. The event has been re-scheduled to Friday, July 15th.

Central Point, Ore. — It’s been six years since Kyron Horman disappeared, but the search efforts are continuing — and you can help this weekend.

This Friday will be the second annual Race 4 Kyron. The event is to create and bring awareness for Kyron.

The Portland boy, whose mother lives here in Medford, was last seen at his school in June 2010.

While his disappearance remains a mystery, his mother Desiree Young said it comforts her to know that the community is still looking for her son, “I just, you know try and focus on searching for him cause then I don’t think about all the sad.”

Young says there will be power wheels racing and monster truck rides at the event. Half of the proceeds will go towards Kyron’s search fund.

Gates will open at 5:00 p.m. at Champion Raceway in Central Point. For more information, click HERE.
