Medford City Council set to vote on new city manager

rob patridgeMedford, Ore. — The Medford City Council is expected to vote Thursday night on whether or not to approve a new city manager.

Last Week NBC5 News broke the story that the city offered the position to former Medford City Councilor and current Klamath County District Attorney Rob Patridge.

The part-time Medford resident was one of three finalists for the position, and the only one with ties to the Rogue Valley.

Patridge and the city began negotiating a contract last week.

The city’s been looking to fill the position since June 5th of last year, when the council surprised City Manager Eric Swanson by firing him in the middle of a regular meeting.

The council is meeting at 7 pm.
