Big deals bring big crowds on Black Friday

Medford, Ore — As more and more stores lean toward the “Grey Thursday” model of shopping the day of Thanksgiving the chaos and calamity of Black Friday seems to be settling down year to year but managers at some big box stores say the excitement is all the same.

Managers at Target in Medford say they had a line around the storefront before their 6pm opening Thursday. Those doors stayed opened through the night with a steady supply of customers grabbing doorbuster deals.

The big items this year are no surprise to employees – Electronics, gaming consoles, video games and toys, including a new hit toy called “Hatchimals”.

The deals don’t stop Friday. Small Business Saturday encourages shoppers to check out their local shops for gifts. Details – Small Business Saturday
