Blues star returns to the Rogue Valley

Medford, Ore. – A legend of the Rogue Valley blues scene is back in town this weekend after jumping to the top of the charts and a tour around the world. We caught up with her at our NBC5 studio this afternoon.

In 2007, Karen Lovely got her start in the music business at 48-years-old playing at small clubs in Ashland before taking her talents on the road. Since then her songs and albums, written with what she calls a passionate ferocity, have topped multiple charts including XM-Radio’s Bluesville.

Lovely says, despite playing at concerts from Portland to Germany, her greatest moment was right here in the Rogue Valley.

“When I lived here had always been a dream of mine, to perform on the Britt stage, to be on the stage to see all of those people out there, it was a dream come true for me to actually perform at Britt, ” said Lovely.
