Body of woman missing since 2014 found near San Francisco

Sonoma County, Calif. – The body of a missing Pengrove, California woman was found at Point Reyes National Seashore, north of San Francisco on February 27. Now, police are suspecting she was the victim of a homicide.

According to police, Annie Bailly was 63-year-old when she disappeared on December 7, 2014. She was reported missing by her husband.

Police said Bailly left her car, keys and purse at home and has been considered missing for the last two years.

The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office said on February 27, 2017, motorists involved in a collision in Marin County discovered a body over an embankment.

With the help of dental records, police were able to identify the Bailly’s body.

Deputies said an official cause of death has not been released, but evidence suggests Bailly was murdered.
