Medford, Ore — Employees at the Safeway on Crater Lake highway are helping organize a community walk in honor of Annette Ballew, a member of their team that took her own life earlier this year.
The Out of the Darkness Community Walk is aimed at helping those who may be struggling with thoughts of suicide.
Store Director Rachel McCoy said, “For people who are grieving, for people who want to share that experience with people who are going through the same thing, and just a way to bring healing to the people that are hurting right now.”
The walk is this Saturday at Robert Pfaff Park in Central Point. Check in time is 9:30 a.m., the walk begins at 11:00 a.m.
