Over the past week, rainfall has been as high as 30 inches, and Governor Jon Bel Edwards declared a state of emergency on Friday.

At least four people have been confirmed dead and more than 20,000 have been rescued.

“Waters will continue to rise in many areas, this is not time to let the guard down,” Governor Edwards stated.
