Douglas County, Ore. – In late October, detectives from Arkansas contacted the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and told deputies 41-year-old Gerald Sanders from Idleyld Park was attempting to lure an underage girl via the internet from Arkansas to Oregon.
Deputies said during the investigation into Sanders and his activity, he began communicating with what he believed was a 14-year-old Oregon girl. He agreed to meet for the purposes of engaging in sexual activity and was arrested at the prearranged location in Roseburg.
Sanders was lodged at the Douglas County Jail on charges of luring a minor and online sexual corruption of a child.
