White City, Ore. — Oregon State Police took John Kennedy into custody, charged with DUII, reckless endangering, and criminal mischief following a nearly head-on crash in White City. Troopers responded to Highway 234 and Modoc road just before 12:30 PM on Friday, for a reported two car crash.
Police say Kennedy crossed over into the oncoming lane, and collided with the Subaru.
“The initial report was somebody was trapped, but he was able to get himself out of the vehicle, and when the medics got on scene,” Senior Trooper Brian Powers said. “It appears to be non-injury, so they were fortunate.”
Traffic control was in place on Highway 234 for over an hour, but it has since been cleared.
