(NBC News) — The latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll finds the gap between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump is closing, down to just nine percent nationally.
Still, the civil war within the GOP is intensifying because of Trump’s lewd audio from 2005, and Trump is fighting back.
Trump lashed out at House Speaker Paul Ryan overnight on Twitter after Ryan said he will stop defending Trump, and no longer campaign for him. John McCain felt Trump’s verbal wrath as well after announcing he won’t be voting for the Republican nominee.
