HOUSTON, Texas (NBCNC) – Former President George H.W. Bush’s health is continuing to improve.
A spokesperson says Mr. Bush will remain at Houston Methodist Hospital through the weekend to continue his recovery.
Mr. Bush is said to be in great spirits and is looking forward to resuming his scheduled trip to Maine next month.
The former president was hospitalized Sunday, one day after his wife Barbara’s funeral.
Doctors are treating him for an infection that spread to his blood.
