New York, N.Y. (CNN Newsource) — Tuesday morning a statue of a defiant girl, with hands on her hips, chin high and pony tail out, facing off with the Wall Street bull made headlines.
The bronze statue, entitled “Fearless Girl,” was installed a day ahead of International Women’s Day.
Wednesday, on International Women’s Day, it was this scene captured people’s attention.

The woman who took this picture says the moment when the girl threw off her jacket to look at the statue “took her breath away.”
State Street Global Advisors installed the “Fearless Girl” to call attention to a new initiative by the asset-manager to increase the number of women on their clients’ corporate boards.
The statue will remain in its place for at least a week.
