Husband of murdered mom addresses attack

Ashland, Ore. – The father of a 12-year-old Ashland boy who allegedly killed his mother and wounded his sister took to Facebook addressing the attack.

Ashland Police said Pamela Wolosz was fatally stabbed by her own son on Tuesday. The 12-year-old also stabbed and injured his 16-year old sister.

The husband of Pamela Wolosz, Jim Holmes, posted on Facebook, “There’s no easy way to put this: My wife, Pam Wolosz, is dead. The tragedy gets worse: She was killed by our 12 year old son…”

Holmes went on to ask for space and time, adding the survivors of the attack are “numb and in shock”. He said his injured daughter is stable and safe.

The post ended with the following sentences: “Keep us in your prayers. All of us, especially my son.”

Right now police don’t have a motive for the crimes, and they say the full investigation could take days or even weeks, but they say at this point in their investigation no one could have seen this coming.

District Attorney Beth Heckert said the boy is being charged with murder, attempted murder and assault. At this point he’s being charged as a juvenile.

The 12-year-old made his first court appearance Wednesday morning, sitting quiet and emotionless.  He has denied all three charges brought against him.

He will be back in court January 25th.
