“I need a tow” scammer arrested, released

Medford, Ore. – This week, police arrested a man who is accused of scamming numerous Rogue Valley residents over the past couple of months by claiming he needed money for a tow.

According to police the scam proved to be effective, and he used the money to support his heroin addiction.

Medford Police said 35-year-old Wesley Daniel Scott was arrested and lodged at the Jackson County Jail, but due to the charges being relatively minor he’s since been released from jail.

MPD is warning the public if Scott tries to scam you by asking for money for a tow, don’t fall for it.
