Idaho students accused of torching principal’s home

NC_principalarson0303_700x394Payette, Id. (KTVB) — Police in Payette, Idaho have arrested four teens accused of burning down their high school principal’s home.

Payette Police Chief Mark Clark says two of the students are 14 years old, one is a 15-year-old, and the other is 16 years old. Clark believes the group may have targeted principal Mark Heleker’s home because two of the students were recently suspended from school.

“I guess what I find astonishing is the fact that we have four teenage males, that not one of them understood what could have happened by lighting a plastic garbage can on fire while it’s up against somebody’s house,” Clark said.

All four students are being charged as adults.
