In-N-Out grand opening details

Medford, Ore. — The countdown is on for In-N-Out’s grand opening in Medford, the first location to open in the whole state. It’s been a test of patience for burger lovers since NBC5 News broke the story back in October that In-N-Out was coming to town. Now, the moment is so close you can almost taste it.

The ribbon cutting ceremony will be held Wednesday morning at 8:45. Then workers will fire up the grills for the anticipated massive crowds. A sea of orange cones takes over a portion of the Rogue Valley Mall parking lot to give the extended drive-thru line some semblance of order.

In-N-Out officials said the mall has been great to work with. Manager, Jeff Barber, said he believes the burger joint will bring more shoppers into his stores.

The chain opened their first drive-thru burger stand in Irvine, California in 1948. Becoming wildly popular, they expanded to five different states before coming to Oregon. The new location is the 304th in the country.

In-N-Out is still hiring and have brought in a group of experience associates to help them keep up with the opening day rush.
