Man accused of shooting at newspaper delivery truck in court

Medford, Ore. – Shad Dunbar faced a Jackson County Judge on Tuesday, to hear his charges for the first time. Dunbar is facing eight counts total, including attempted murder in the second degree.

P0lice say Dunbar opened fire on the newspaper truck around 5:30 AM Saturday morning from his house on 7th street in Rogue River. When the truck drove away, police say he followed it in his car, shooting into nearby homes. The truck pulled into the Rogue River Chevron gas station, where officials say Dunbar shot at the truck and hit it.

Dunbar was later arrested in Medford on Monday morning. He’s being held in the Jackson County Jail on $1 million bail. Dunbar is expected to be back in court for a preliminary hearing on September 15.
