Ashland seeks public comment on proposed gun ban

Ashland, Ore. — The mayor of Ashland wants to hear from people for and against a proposed gun ban.

They met Tuesday night in a brainstorming session.

The Ashland City Council has said they’ll consider an ordinance that would ban the open carry of a loaded gun in public places.

The law would not apply to police or people with a concealed weapons permit.

The issue is on the city council agenda for May 6th.
