Medford, Ore. — If you use natural gas, you may soon be shelling out more money.
According to the Satellite PR News, Avista Utilities is seeking a rate increase.
Costumers would see their bill go up approximately 8% and a basic charge of $10, instead of $8, would be assessed, even if there was no usage.
The increase in part is due to projects, including a plan to build a pipeline in southeast Medford.
Oregon’s Public Utility must first review the request, which can take up to 10 months.
