Bandon coach in jail on child pornography charges

Bandon, Ore. — A basketball and track coach in the Bandon school district is facing 15 federal charges including possession, production and distribution of child pornography.

According to the FBI, 30-year-old Sean Haga unknowingly contacted an undercover FBI task force officer online Friday night and shared child pornography.

The FBI worked through the night to identify Haga. He was arrested Saturday evening.

He’ll make his first court appearance at the U.S. District courthouse in Medford on Monday.

Haga is an educational assistant, basketball coach and track coach in the Bandon school district.

At this time, there is no indication that Haga abused any child other than a relative.

Any parents concerned about possible inappropriate contact between their child and Haga should call the Bandon police department.
