Jacksonville, Ore. — The top names in Oregon republican politics were in the Rogue Valley Saturday.
Congressman Greg Walden, gubernatorial candidate Dennis Richardson, and senate candidate Dr. Monica Wehby all attended the sixth annual Reagan BBQ & Auction at historic Hanley Farm in Jacksonville.
For their supporters it was a chance to mingle with the politicians and show their support.
“It’s really wonderful to get out with a whole group of republicans who are thinking along the same lines I am,” guest Joan Rogers said. “It’s also a push for people to get out and vote.”
Democratic Senator Jeff Merkley also happened to be in town today. NBC5 is currently working with both Senator Merkley and Dr. Wehby to host Southern Oregon’s only senate debate this fall.
