A Klamath Falls man facing murder charges says he’s getting frustrated with delays, and a lack of access to information about his case.
Zane Skeen was in court this morning asking for a new lawyer.
34 year old Zane Skeen says he’s being denied access to police records, and says he wants a new attorney…
“I’ve asked for everything, because I wanted to know what I’m being accused of. I know they say murder, or a heinous crime, or whatever bull**** they say on the news…”
Skeen is accused of beating 65 year old Larry Wayne Clark to death in February of this year…
“But I don’t know the details.” Claimed Skeen. “The facts of what the state has against me.”
Judge Cameron Wogan vouched for Skeen’s attorney, and advised Skeen that ‘It’s not a good time to make a change.”
“That’s going to cause a huge delay.” Warned Judge Wogan. “Mister Studenberg, I can tell you, has practiced law here for many, many years.”
Despite Skeen’s arguments, the judge ruled that he won’t appoint Skeen a new lawyer…at least not for now.
“I’m not telling you other than, that I’m not appointing a new attorney today.” Ruled Wogan. “That’s all I’m telling you.”
Skeen expressed his disappointment to our camera while leaving the courtroom…
Skeen is married to 30 year old Jessica Tibbets, who was convicted in 2000 for her role in the brutal hatchet murder of her mother and step-brother.
Tibbets was granted a conditional release from prison earlier this year as part of a ‘second look’ evaluation.
