Community clothing exchange

Eagle Point, Ore. — Children and families were able to exchange their old clothes for better ones in Eagle Point.

The Community Exchange offered families the opportunity to bring the clothes they have to trade for clothes they need.

For example, if a person brings in ten items of clothing, that person would then be able to pick out ten different items.

Sears donated five hundred dollars towards new clothes for the event.

“Just to show them that we’re here for them, that we care about them, and we’re thinking about their daily needs,” said Angie Friesen of New Beginnings Church.

People who didn’t use all of their credit could put it towards the next event.

If you missed the exchange, there are more events planned. A spring exchange is slated for April 15th and in the fall on August 19th.
