Dad builds Iron Man costume to help sick baby 'feel brave'

(KGW News) A baby’s first Halloween costume is usually pretty adorable, but this one is also very meaningful.

Baby Collier has been in the hospital since his premature birth in July.

His dad, Eric Hart, is a professional prop maker, so when it was time for Collier’s first holiday, Halloween, he knew he had to dress him up to make him “feel brave.”

He made his son an Iron Man costume.

“I came up with Iron Man because he’s been hooked up to all those machines and wires, and that’s similar to what Iron Man went through,” Hart told TODAY.com.

Hart found a pattern online, and made the costume out of foam.
