David R. Kingsley triathlon approaching

Klamath Falls, Ore. – Lake of the Woods will be hosting a triathlon Saturday to benefit the David R. Kingsley Foundation.

The David R. Kingsley triathlon is quickly approaching.

“I think this is the eighth year that the triathlon has take place here at Lake of the Woods.” Notes George Gregory of Lake of the Woods Resort. “And while it started off pretty small, this year we expect more than 100 participants.”

The race gets underway this Saturday morning with orientation at 9, followed by the race at 10.

The triathlon begins with a 550 yard swim…followed by a 3 mile run…and ends with a 9 and a half mile bike ride around the lake.

The David R. Kingsley Foundation was started about 15 years ago.

“This foundation’s charger is to help out disadvantaged people in the community.” Says Major Lucas Ritter of the Oregon Air National Guard. “Whether they be military members, or just local civilians in the community.”

Registrations will be taken right up to the start of the race.
