District Attorney Releases More Details On Georgeson’s Shooting

9-1-1 tapes as well as video surveillance from an Albertson’s parking lot was released on Friday by the Jackson Country District Attorney.

The Oregon State Police provided a 3D reenactment of the events that led up to the shooting. Also provided as evidence were several 9-1-1 calls from witnesses. One caller saying the marshals emptied several magazines. Another caller saying that two people were on the ground, another dead in the car.

Last night, after hearing hours of testimonies from dozens of witnesses, a grand jury decided that federal marshals were justified in shooting and killing 20-year-old James Georgeson on January 5th. Marshals shot Georgeson after they say he was trying to flee an arrest warrant and used his car as a weapon.
