The Eagle Point School Board has voted to close Elk Trail School.
The board voted 3 to 2, in favor of closing the school and merging the students into nearby Shady Cove Elementary, beginning in the 2012-13 school year.
Officials say district budget cuts and declining enrollment at the school were major factors.
