DOJ investigating Sheriff candidate alleged election violation

Medford, Ore.– A Jackson County Sheriff candidate is being investigated by the Oregon Department of Justice for an alleged elections law violation.

Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputy, Lieutenant Bob Sergi confirmed to NBC 5 that he’s been put on administrative leave by the Sheriff’s office as a result of the Oregon Department of Justice investigation.

Sergi wouldn’t go into details about the investigation but denied any wrongdoing and said he will continue to run for sheriff.
