Early Morning High Speed Chase

Dozens of police sirens sound as this Chevy Silverado just can’t handle it anymore.

After hitting three spike strips — the driver who police say stole the truck he was driving in — loses control and crashes into a ditch. Seconds later — officers with their guns out.

The two suspects, one a driver, the other, a passenger, surrender peacefully and tonight, inside the Jackson County Jail sits: Gregory Costa of Eagle Point, and Christopher Ramsey of Central Point.

The chase began on Dead Indian Memorial Road shortly after 1am in Ashland.

The suspects got away, but miles later — an officer spotted them at the Highway 140 interchange.

The chase continued with speeds of up to 80 miles per hour despite the icy and snowy conditions and after three spike attempts, well the driver finally crashed here, a few feet from white city and hours later — you can see the skid-marks still engraved in the road.

Tonight: Both suspects are now facing numerous charges like stealing a car, reckless endangering, and possession of meth.
