Fire crews respond to house fire

Medford, Ore. — A North Medford home was seriously damaged Friday night.

Fire fighters say a wood-stove most likely caused a fire in the attic “The wood stove. It appears that something from that started the fire. It’s definitely in that area, but we’re really early in the investigation, but we do believe it was a spark or possibly an ember from the wood stove.” said Battalion Chief Ken Goodson.

Fire fighters were called to the home on St. Thomas Way and Hawaiian Ave, that’s off Delta Waters Road, around 7pm.

Fire fighters say the homeowners were home at the time and that a man cut his finger trying to put the fire out.
