Medford, Ore. — An apartment complex on North Keene Way Drive caught fire at around 2:30am Tuesday morning.

Medford Fire officials say the fire was relatively small, but it was burning by an air vent and the fire got underneath the four unit complex.

Everyone was evacuated and there are no reports of injuries

Medford Fire also says that all four units have smoke damage, with one apartment having fire damage.

They say the cause of the fire may be from one of the tenant’s barbecues, which was used earlier in the day for cooking.

According to the Red Cross of Southern Oregon, five adults and three children were displace by the fire.

The Red Cross says they are supporting those displaced with lodging, food, clothing, shoes, transportation, comfort kits, and information about disaster mental health and disaster health services.
