Former OSP employee wanted for alleged theft

Central Point, Ore.– The Jackson County District Attorney’s Office isfillingcharges against a former Oregon State Police Evidence Technician for stealing more than $10,000 from an evidence locker.

District Attorney Beth Heckert said there is a warrant out for John Parrish’s arrest. Parrish faces 10 counts that vary from theft in the first and second degree to official misconduct.

Parrish worked with OSP sine 2006 but a spokesman with the department said he resigned in September 2014 during the initialinvestigation.

The thefts happened from July 2012 to February 2014.
