“Gender neutral” restrooms?

N.C. — (WECT) North Carolina’s Cape Fear Community College has added a dozen new gender neutral restrooms to its campuses.

According to CFCC Director of Marketing and Public Relations, David Hardin, the college added the bathrooms this year to meet required regulations.

“We added these facilities to make sure we’re complying with federal regulations so we’re not discriminating with people that have gender identities either male or female,” explained Hardin.

Hardin said the bathrooms can be used by both men and women, though the college still has several traditional restrooms designed only for men and only for women.
