GMO wheat crops found in Montana

Mont. — One to three acres of unregulated GMO wheat has now been found in Montana.

GMO wheat is not approved for farming in the U.S. and its discovery can seriously harm trade with other countries.

The USDA said last week that though this incident is on a smaller scale it is similar to a discovery of GMO wheat crops spread over 100 acres in Oregon last year. Many Asian countries temporarily banned U.S. wheat imports as a result of that incident.
