Grants Pass community watch

Grants Pass, Ore. — The Josephine County Sheriffs Office says they’ve received a large positive response to their plans to organize a community watch program.

The groups would primarily be trained for emergencies and disasters. The sheriffs office is getting active neighborhood watches, search and rescue, and Josephine County emergency communications to work together.

Their hope is to create continuous bands of prepared neighborhoods in the event of an emergency.
