Grants Pass, Ore. — A Josephine county man will spend the next 11 and a half years behind bars for raping a teenage girl.
24-year-old Axel Vaughan Reese Ries previously pleaded guilty to multiple rape charges.
The sexual assault occurred back in 2013 when the victim was only 15-years-old.
The victim, who testified against Reis, tells NBC5 News its been tough for her, but she hopes her bravery can be an example to other young girls that go through something similar.

Reis was convicted of eight counts of using a child as a sex display along with multiple counts of sex abuse and sodomy in the third degree.
